Orange Shirt Day – 30 September 2021

Each student is encouraged to wear an orange shirt or orange attire in support of Orange Shirt Day on Thursday, September 30.   This is a significant day in Canada that started in 2013 to honor Indigenous children who were sent away to residential schools.

The day focuses on the importance of “Every Child Matters” and our efforts towards reconciliation.

We will share the significance of the day and link this with an overarching theme of respecting others and ensuring that everyone around us matters.
