International Government Simulations

MODEL EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT (MEP) AIS DEBATE GROUP HARVARD MODEL CONGRESS EUROPE (HMCE) UNITED NETHERLANDS MODEL UNITED NATIONS (MUN)

The MUN, MEP and HMCE are organisations in which students learn about diplomacy and international relations through regular meetings in which students debate world issues, preparing them to attend conferences. These meetings develop students’ skills of public speaking, formal writing, negotiating, lobbying, finding compromise and respect for other opinions while gaining a broad awareness of the world issues surrounding them.

Leadership and Independence

Students develop leadership and independence through membership of such activities and are given the opportunity to attend some of the world’s best government simulation conferences.  The growth and development of the International AIS Debate Group has led to the establishment of the AIS’s own parliamentary simulation welcoming students from at least seven different countries each year. We are very proud of the fact that our students impress at the international conferences which have regularly resulted in ‘Outstanding Delegate Awards’ at the various simulations.
