Inspiring Respect, Resilience and the ability to Think and Act Inclusively in our international environment
Healthy, active lifestyles, supported by good nutritional choices are essential to the wellbeing, happiness and development of our students. At AIS we not only look after the academic progress and achievement of our students but also regard emotional, physical health and wellbeing as a top priority.
These principles permeate many aspects of school life at AIS from the range of opportunities for physical recreation and play, to food provided in our cafeteria and the education that surround students’ meal choices, and crucially, to the partnerships that we form with parents to ensure they have the information and guidance they need to ensure that the same principles are continued in the home environment.
The physical health of our community is supported by specialist nursing staff at our on-site medical centre. Students have access to full-time highly qualified nurses who are available throughout the school day to assist should a child fall ill or have an accident and become physically injured or hurt. We have a high number of trained First Aid Responders who ensure that the operational aspects of the school are conducted in accordance with the highest standards and best practice. We also provide students with access to skilled Counsellors who provide emotional and bespoke support services and advice.
