Update 6: Information for Parents, Students and Community

Flags school SY2021/22
We wish all our families a healthy and prosperous New Year 2022.
Following the Dutch Government’s announcement that schools will return to face-to-face learning, we are delighted to be welcoming our students back to school on Monday, 10 January 2022.

Parental support in conducting the pre-screening routines before setting out for school will be critical in ensuring school life continues to be an exciting, safe and purposeful experience for our students. Before the break, as a precaution and for your convenience, we sent home a Covid self-test with your child, which you may or may not choose to use on their return to school in January. As partners working together, we can manage the risk of transmission and catch any potential infection early, particularly important following a holiday break. Headlines for Parents:

  • All AIS protocols and procedures remain and can be found on the AIS website on the Parent Portal. The password to access the Parents Portal is accessed through your national office.
  • The option for self-testing continues to be available through your national office.
  • The AIS COVID-19 flow-chart has been updated – note the quarantine requirement is initially for ten days if a PCR test is positive.
  • The protocol for wearing a mask remains. For the foreseeable future, masks are required to be worn on school buses, in public places (inside and outside) whilst on school premises.
  • Maintaining a social distance of 1.5 m when moving around in a public space on the school campus is required alongside regular washing of hands and use of sanitiser. Inside the national class/bubble, national requirements may differ. We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday, 10 January 2022.
